Controllers and Amplifiers

SMAC supplies a range of single and multi-axis controllers together with stand alone amplifiers and stepper driven drivers. Controllers are programmed by mnemonic type command instructions via an RS-232 interface into NVRAM and allows code to be stored in non-volatile RAM, which is then used to enable movements to be made in three different modes. They require no supplementary software.

LAC-1 Single Axis Controller

LAC1
The LAC-1 is a single axis controller with eight TTL I/O channels, three analog I/P channels and RS232 interface. It comes with a built-in amplifier.

LAC-25 Dual Axis Controller

LAC25
Dual axis controller with four opto-isolated I/O channels, two analog I/O channels and RS232 interface. The LAC-25 can be used to control either a single linear and rotary actuator or alternatively two independent linear actuators. It is also necessary for grippers. It comes with a built-in amplifier.

A stand alone single axis amplifier which can be used in conjunction with any proprietary controller. It provides +/-10 Volt I/P, 3 Amp O/P.

LAD-1 Smart Driver

LAD1
The LAD1 is used to convert stepper inputs to 3 Amp servo output. This is particularly useful wherever a SMAC unit is retrofitted to or integrated into a stepper-driven machine. RS232 Interface.

MIO E-8/8 [MIO 16-R2] Channel I/O Expansion Module

MIO E-8/8
Expansive I/O modual, 8 input, 8 output, Opto-isolated general purpose I/O. If more I/O channels are required, then the MIO can be linked to either the LAC1 or LAC25 to give 16 I/O channels.

Please note: This replaces the MIO16-R2
